Bordeaux red wine Saint Estephe

The Rouzaud family (Louis Roederer champagnes and Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Pauillac) purchased this continuous property of 20 hectares of Cru Bourgeois Saint-Estèphe. Already classified as exceptional Cru Bourgeois status in 2003, the wines have continued to develop thanks to work in the vineyard and in the cellar. Merlot has made way for Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a result of climate warming, which makes it possible to obtain very fine cabernets that previously did not ripen well. Prices have remained very sensible, guaranteeing good value for a Bordeaux vineyard.
