Chateau Malescot Saint Exupery 1996
Red wine from Bordeaux, Margaux
The name of this property is taken from two former owners: Malescot and Saint Exupéry, the grandfather of the famous aviator-writer. Château Malescot Saint Exupéry borders part of the vineyard of Château Margaux. The soil in the vineyard consists of Pyrenean gravel. After a period of relatively disappointing wines between 1960 and 1980, the current owners focused on improving quality. From the early 1990s, the wines, with red fruit aromas, have become richer, more intense and more consistent. They are now also refined and offer a more delicate body.
