This Amicale Cantine di Ora is a full-bodied wine, made from Corvina , Molinara and Rondinella , among others. The grapes are dried in small boxes for 120 days, which greatly increases the concentration of the juice.
After vinification, the young wine is aged for several months in oak. The blend is characteristic of the red wines from this region and there is a clear relationship with the Amarone style. The Amicale has a lot of red fruit aroma.
Soon the Amicone will no longer be called that, the name will change to Amicale, the quality of the wine will remain the same
Wine has been made in Veneto since time immemorial. The fertile volcanic and calcareous soils along the foot of the Alps in particular were an early source of commercially interesting wines.
In the surrounding plain, bulk wines were made for local consumption. Today, Veneto, as the largest wine region after Sicily and Apulia, accounts for the largest amount of DOC wine in Italy.
The best known are Bardolino along Lake Garda, Soave and Valpolicella above Verona and Prosecco north of Venice. As a progressive wine region, Veneto has often been at the forefront when it came to new agricultural and vinification techniques.
Climate-controlled fermentation and replanting with internationally interesting grape varieties were introduced early on. Amicone is a full-bodied wine, made from Corvina , Molinara and Rondinella among others.
