Torrevento
The story of Torrevento begins in the north of Apulia, at the vineyards at the foot of Castel del Monte . Here, in the Torre del Vento district, in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park, we produce our wines according to the regulations of sustainable agriculture. Today, as in the past, rural wine production is still the strength of our company, committed to restoring and improving native vines suitable to best express the viticultural vocation of the Apulian territory.
For more than 20 years, Torrevento has embarked on a certified quality path that - in addition to the IFS Food and CSQA standards - has seen the Equalitas certification as the ultimate goal, certifying the sustainability of the company and its products from an environmental, ethical and economic point of view.
The cornerstone of our approach to sustainability is ethical; doing business in accordance with our fundamental values: territory, people, product. We have been involved in solidarity projects for years to guarantee access to goods that are considered fundamental, such as work, security, education and social relations.
To recognize its commitment area sustainability, Torrevento received the "Award for Sustainable Viticulture 2019" by Gambero Rosso.
The values of welcome and hospitality are deeply rooted in the Apulian culture. Torrevento has always been an open company: initiatives, community projects, tastings, vineyard and cellar tours strengthen the bond with the territory and allow us to convey the passion that animates our work to visitors and wine lovers .
