Domaine Chainier
Domaine Chainier , a family business based in the Touraine region, a wine region around the city of Tours, in the heart of the Loire region. Father and mother Chainier had a beautiful 'wine wedding'; he comes from the Bordeaux region, she from the Cognac region. Together they have a number of castles and wineries with a total of 250 hectares. vineyards in Touraine. An area known for its rich history, numerous castles and of course wine!
Generation after generation
Their son Pierre Chainier is now in charge. Overloaded with the knowledge and experience of previous generations, he and his team make beautiful wines!
Roc de Châteauvieux
One of the Châteaux of Domaine Chainier is Roc de Châteauvieux. The 60 ha. The vineyards of this wine castle are located in the westernmost part of the Touraine wine region. The vineyards are located on the left bank of the Cher, a tributary of the Loire River. The grapes benefit from the cooler climate in the western part, while they receive a lot of sun because the vineyards face south and southwest.
