Luis Canas Rioja Blanco Fermentado en Barrica
Tasting note:
Luis Canas Rioja Blanco Fermentado and Barrica Golden yellow colored with a refined nose of freshly picked flowers in combination with ripe fruit. The taste of this white Rioja, which has been raised in wooden barrels, is dry with fresh acidity. Lively wine with lots of structure and subtle wood. Real food wine. Can be combined with fish, crustaceans and shellfish or white meat.
Bodegas Luis Canas
Founded in 1928, although the family can trace their roots in Rioja soil for two centuries. Luis Cañas Wineries have 90 organically managed hectares in the hills of the cooler Rioja Alavesa region, as well as long-term contracts with growers for a further 200 hectares of mixed regime viticulture. This is a dynamic, forward-thinking producer who makes elegant, fruit-filled wines that are neither too oaky nor over-alcoholic.
Luis Cañas Wineries is a family business dating back to 1928, although the family has been active in the grape growing and wine industry for more than two centuries. Today it is one of the most important wineries of the Rioja Alavesa region. At Luis Cañas, the vinification process starts with 90 hectares of their own vineyards and 200 hectares managed by their regular suppliers, spread over 815 plots. The winery is equipped with the latest modern winemaking systems to consistently produce wines from the highest quality grapes.
The best results continually win loyal customers and win prestigious national and international awards and reviews from the most important tastings and wine magazines in the world.
The respect for the environment and the effort of every human link involved in the process is the key to transforming the benefits of rational viticulture into success and quality
